Commit: 2017

The leadership of Wesley United Methodist Church is in the process of finalizing a bold ministry plan for 2017. The next year will be an exciting one! Our preschool and childcare ministries continue to grow and more children are knowing God’s love at Wesley UMC. This spring we will embark on Step 2 of the Fruitful Congregation Journey which will help us map the next generation of ministry impact in Culver. A streamlined ministry process will be unveiled which will dramatically improve the way we connect people to Christ and each other.

We are confident that the sowing we have been doing the last couple of years will grow to become a great harvest to God’s glory! But we cannot do the work without the prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness of everyone in the Wesley family. As we did last year, we ask the following commitment from you in 2017:

First and foremost, we are asking you to commit to prayer. Pray for our mission, for unity within the congregation, for broken people in our church and community, and for opportunities for Wesley UMC to meet the needs of people in Culver. We will not succeed in our ministry in Culver without prayer and fasting.

Second, we are asking for your presence in ministry. Commit to attending worship services each week, join (or even start) a small group, help provide child care for young families on Sundays, and pledge your participation in other events and outreach opportunities throughout the year. Your presence is vital to our worship and work in Culver!

Finally, we are asking you to prayerfully consider your 2017 financial giving. As we plan for new worship opportunities and other ways to learn, pray, and serve together, we’re asking you to make a financial commitment as part of your spiritual growth and our shared mission in Culver.

Make your commitment for 2017 right now:
